January 2018#

At that time, I was a sophomore, filled with a bit of curiosity about the world and some unrealistic ambitions.
My initial exposure was not in the cryptocurrency field, but in the stock market. I invested not in ordinary stocks, but in high-leverage warrant products. Within just a few weeks, my account lost 70% of its principal.
That transition from high expectations to complete disappointment felt like reality slapped me in the face, teaching me the harsh truth that "the market is ruthless." I began to understand that finance is not an exhilarating game of speculation, but a long-term battle against human nature.
But I did not stop there. After a late-night discussion at the library, a friend introduced me to Bitcoin. This was my first deep dive into cryptocurrency. The more I researched, the more I felt that this was not just a speculative tool, but an ambitious technological experiment, a direct challenge to the traditional financial system.

April 2018#

I opened a Binance account @binance. That night, I made a decision that seemed almost crazy at the time: to keep only $30 for living expenses each week, using all my other earnings to buy cryptocurrency. I don’t smoke, socialize, travel, or change my phone. Every day after returning from my campus job, the first thing I did was check the candlestick charts.
Others saw me as a madman, but I knew deep down that I was not escaping reality; I was stepping into another future ahead of time.

The Cryptocurrency World in 2019#

Was filled with a romantic atmosphere. I joined the Binance community @binancezh and met many enthusiastic early evangelists. At that time, IEOs were just starting, and the value of BNB had not yet been fully recognized.
I witnessed interactions and discussions between Nizi Ge @cryptocishanjia and He Yi @heyibinance online, and in that moment, I felt that this was not just an exchange, but a stage for a group of idealists building the infrastructure of a new world. I began to trust CZ @cz_binance and was moved by He Yi's sincerity and frankness in the community. That year, I decided to invest all my funds in BNB. I worked three part-time jobs, hardly taking weekends off, just to acquire more BNB. Not because I foresaw its appreciation, but because I was willing to bet on its future.

By 2020, a black swan event dragged the market into the abyss. On March 12, the global financial system resonated and collapsed, and crypto assets plummeted overnight. I sat at home, staring at the trading software, watching my assets turn from green to red, then to black.
That night, I did not collapse, nor did I cry. I only felt as if my body had been emptied. But the next day, I opened Binance as usual and continued my research nonchalantly. Because I understood that it was the price that was falling, but it was the belief that was collapsing.

In 2021, I graduated from university.#

I did not submit resumes or enter a company. I continued to stay in the cryptocurrency field, practicing trading while exploring early projects. Then, everything began to explode. That year, BNB skyrocketed from dozens of dollars, project tokens surged one after another, and my holdings kept doubling.
It wasn't until one early morning when I refreshed my trading account that I truly realized: my assets were close to $900,000. I did not feel the excitement I had anticipated; rather, it was a long-suppressed sense of relief. It turned out that these years were not spent in vain; it turned out that persistence would eventually pay off.
But I knew this did not mean success. Because the cryptocurrency world is not a place built on luck. Every penny of profit you earn will be tested in the next market cycle to see if you deserve to stay.
I have seen too many friends who inflated due to sudden wealth, ultimately returning all their profits to the market. I have also witnessed predecessors who completely exited because they could not withstand the crash.

So I continued to keep a low profile and kept learning.#

From 2018 to 2025, I experienced countless fluctuations. My assets once increased tenfold, a hundredfold, and also plummeted by 90%; I doubted myself many times, but I never truly gave up.

This year, I decided to no longer remain silent.#
